We have been fortunate so far this winter with the mild weather.  However, January through April can bring some harsh conditions.

As a reminder here are the protocols we use in the case of inclement weather. 

When to make the call on delay or cancel?

  • Routes are monitored by 4:00 AM the morning of the storm.

  • For a late start, we will notify at 6:00 AM.

  • Late Start:

  • GRHS/LMS/EA (9:40 AM)

  • Elementary schools (10:25 AM)

  • Cancellation of school notification will go out by 7:00 AM. We will notify stakeholders if school is canceled for the day. Messages will go out through the Central Office.

*We may have a Late Start for rural routes, even if we can run in town routes on time.

*McKinnon Elementary will be determined through contact between the Central Office, McKinnon principal, and the Transportation Department.
